How do you know when a guy wants to kiss you?

This, this is tough. Guys seem to send mixed messages all the time. Especially shy guys. For the average guy, look for these signs:

Gazing. If he gazes at your lips and then your eyes, then your lips again he is interested.

Body Language. If he leans his head tilted a little bit towards you, then he is ready to go in for it. If he puts his arm around you or holds you then that means he is ready to take you and pull you closer to him; hes ready to embrace you when he kisses you. Its almost his way of making you stay where you are at, a nonmoving target...sort of.

Speech. If the guy says something about features on your face then that means hes look at them closely, and in the back of his mind its all about your lips. It should ring a bell if he mentions your lips, because that's a dead give-away that he is ready to kiss you asap.

Now as for the shy guy, things become much more difficult. My first serious boyfriend was a very VERY shy and introverted person. I wanted to kiss him long before he was ready, and i avoided raping his lip virginity in the process. (he can never kissed a girl before, you see)

Gazing. Shy guys wont notice their doing it, but they are. Even shy guys will check out your lips. The only difference is between the average guy and the shy guy is that a shy guy is thinking "what if she kisses me? what do i do then? Does she want to kiss me?"

Body Language. A shy guy will generally stray away from you more, ive noticed, when you are around him and just chillin. If he lefts you be closer to you then that means hes comfortable with the idea of closeness, and eventually lips closeness. But as soon as you are close to him don't kiss him right away! Let the idea of your bodies touching grow on him a bit, give it a while, and then kiss him.

Speech. Most likely, he will not bring up the subject of kissing. This is where you girls gotta man up, put on the pants and take control. Striaght up tell him "Wow you are amazing. I wanna kiss you so bad right now!" But don't kiss him! Wait to see his reaction. laugh a little at your own joke too. If he laughs and then kisses you, (which he might do because he knows you are comfortable wtih the idea) then you've won! If he laughs and moves closer or stays the same, he is happy that you wanna kiss him, but give him a few more minutes to when the moments right. If he shy's away that means that he does NOT want to kiss you or isn't ready. This is your cue to either wait a while longer to kiss him or dump him and find someone that moves faster. I had to wait a few months to kiss my first serious boyfriend, but it was worth it because it made him feel in control. He will be more comfortable with the idea of kissing again.

Some guys will just hold and kiss you (they aren't shy one bit) while others may be seated next to you, put an arm around your shoulders. This is a signal (if you want) to rest your head on his shoulder. Body language says a lot, so if he looks down at you all misty-eyed then you know the kiss is coming next and you can meet half-way. If you are walking hand-in-hand sort of ease up to him and let nature takes its course.

Don't worry you'll make a mistake because no matter what generation it is we all had to guess when and if it was the right time to kiss. Just relax, and as I said, "let nature take it's course."
