What is a terrabyte in the world of computer units?

How many pictures can you save on the xbox?

The number of pictures you can save on an Xbox 360 is limited by two factors. First is the amount of space the unit has on its hard drive that is available, and second is the size of the pictures you wish to save. You should also consider, with regards to hard drive space, that other games or programs take up additional space on their own. If you have only a 60 gigabyte hard drive in your Xbox 360, and allowed 40 gigabytes for picture storage , and the average size of your picture files were 300 kilobytes each, you could store (at maximum capacity) over 130,000 pictures before the drive were full. This average may vary, depending on the size of pictures and the amount allotted for files.

What is a pen drive?

A pen drive is another name for a USB flash drive. Other names are Flash drive, USB flash drive, Thumb drive, etc. They are devices that allow storage of computer files that you can remove and take from computer to computer. The price of the drive is determined by the size of its memory measured in megabytes or gigabytes. While 128 megabyte drives used to be considered large, current pen drives sizes can reach 1, 2, 4, or more gigabytes. The drives are inserted in the computers USB ports and are automatically recognized on PC operating systems beyond Windows 98 (which needs a separate installation of drivers). Pen drives can also have full blown applications on them which are written in what is called U3 compatible software.

How much information does a 4gb fash drive hold?

You have to bear in mind that different file types and foemats can take up more space than others. For example, Your average word document (1-4 pages) takes up between 10-1000 KB, but an hour's video could take up over 1GB... 1 Killabyte (KB) = 1000 Bytes (B) 1 Megabyte (MB) = 1000KB 1 Gigabyte (GB) = 1000MB 1 Terrabyte (TB) = 1000GB 1 Petabyte (PB) = 1000TB ..So it really depends on what you are putting on it. 4GB is plenty for storing pictures/files etc. , but not big enough to back up a Hard Disk or store big movie files. A 4 GB flash drive can hold approximately 2,200 7 megapixel JPG images at maximum quality, 1,000 MP3 songs or six full-length movies in the Divx format. Any combination of file types can be stored on the same flash drive.

Why is my vista tacking so long to defragment?

Because you have awful grammar skills. -.- If you have a large hard drive, it will obviously take a long time to defrag. If you have a 500 GB hard drive and 3/4 of it is full, it'll take a full day. Rent a movie.

Is a 250GB hard drive adequate for a home computer?

No matter what the size of hard drive you have, you will eventually have to replace it. I built a computer in September 06. It had a 250 GB hard drive. I am probably the average computer user; I use mine for homework, a little bit of gaming, surfing the web, some DVD editing, and msn. My hard drive is about half full by now (June 07). I recently just added another 250 GB hard drive to use when my first one is full. You can add it on to your computer, so it might be fine to just start with a 250 or 320 GB hard drive and add another one in a year or so.

Your GXT 16GB flash-drive can only backup about 4 GB before there is a message that the tape is full - any suggestions?

That is a limitation of the FAT partition used by your drive (probably). You can't create a file bigger than 4GB. In that case, you should split the file into smaller sizes. If you use linux, you can always format it to ext2 which can take files of 16GB up to 2TB. But then to use it on windows computers you have to install a driver so it can be read.
