You do not wait for signs it needs replacing, you just replace it at the mileage listed in your owners manual. No owners manual then replace it every 75,000 miles.
You cannot know when it needs changing, just change it every 50,000 miles.
Lack of power
You will not know. Just replace it every 50,000 miles.
It is in the fuel tank. As i know fitted on the fuel pump. I am also searching for fuel filter maybe needs to be replaced :) First i know that it is in the tank, then i want to see how to replace and how it looks like at all.
I don't know maybe you shouldn't be changing it..... Lolly Bear!
Replace it every 50,000 miles and then you won't have to guess.
After replacing the fuel filter and checking the fuel pump fuse and relay it still does not work, replace it.
Just replace it every 50,000 miles or if you suspect it is clogged.
There is no real way of knowing when to change a fuel filter. I recommend changing it every 50,000 miles. A clogged fuel filter will overwork your fuel pump, which can require costly repairs, maybe not tomorrow or next week but it will eventually cause the fuel pump to fail. For as cheap as a fuel filter is usually 15 dollars it will save you hundreds.
It's hard to figure out if the fuel filter is bad or not, but it's an inexpensive part and easily changed so changing it is a good place to start for troubleshooting
You just replace it at the interval listed in your owner's manual or every 50,000 miles. If you are having problems and suspect the fuel filter is clogged, just replace it.
there is NO serviceable fuel filter. the filter is a LIfETime filter IN the fuel tank. It never needs replacing unless you have to replace the fuel pump. They did not make a fuel filter for the 2002 Toyota Sienna. Afetr 2002 they stopped. i found the subject very interesting. The only way you you can find the fuel filter is in the gas tank where the fuel pump is. filter is attach to fuel pump. i know!!! it is kind a stupid design. they made it hard for the mechanics or individual. good and be careful.
