if the clutch pedal is soft an won't let the the tranny go into gear then that means time for a new clutch

IF it wont go into gear its the pressure plate. It it slips under hard acceleration (engine revs and car doesnt speed up) the plate it worn out. Either requires replacement of both. Get a Kit

most likely the hydraulic unit is empty and needs replace. To the right of the brake fluid reservoir is a smaller black reservoir for the clutch. Check the level If emptyt ot needs replace ----------------------

The clutch hydraulic unit cannot be bled properly It should be replaced as a unit You can try (with) an adapter to put vacuum on the reservoir but it most likely won't work The Saturn manual says it cannot be bled and must be replaced as a unit.
