Which one of the two shipwreck paintings he did are you looking for? I own one of them, and I know who has the other. Neither was painted in 1837, but their titles are almost identical.
I have it, but I don't know if it is an original? How do i tell? you can email me justmeizzy@hotmail.com

I just got a Paul N. Norton watercolor painting Misty Morn at Mystic. I do not know if this is the original painting. Can somebody help me to determine if this is the original copy?
You would need to get it appraised.
There must have been. We have an inherited oil painting, a trees and water scene, signed D.D Doyle, 1925. I know nothing about it except it has been in the family for years.
I'm not sure Darcy stands for anything, i know its a name.
