This is easy, press handbrake(rear tyre brake) and accelerate:
1.)if the front tyres start spinning, then the car is fwd.
2.)If the car is rwd, then the wheels will not spin.
3.)if the car is awd or 4wd, then car rpm will stay at 2000-2500rpm
AWD car usually have badges saying so on the trunk (audi quatto, bmw xi/x drive)If the car has front axles only it FWD, if it has half shaft in the rear also it is awd. The owner's manual should say also.
Remove the fifth wheel
No, the 5th generation Celicas along with all others, are FWD in exception to the GT-4 models. -Vachi edit: for future reference, if you want to know if a car is FWD or RWD just look under the hood. If the belt(s) are in the front of the engine it is not FWD; if they are on the side (pointing to the wheel) it is FWD.
with the parking brake
That can only be answerd on opion's... If you try them both (AWD or FWD) you will be able to answer that question yourself. :)
If you mean that can you tow a FWD car behind you then yes (as long as it's in neutral). You can also tow with a FWD if it has a decent towing capacity.
yes
FWD the front wheels drive the car RWD the rear do and for different FWD more control in breaking where the weight goes forward and RWD faster take off
Assuming this is a fwd car? I would say it is the CV joints ( if the first question is right?) Assuming this is a fwd car? I would say it is the CV joints ( if the first question is right?)
The French auto maker Society Parisienne patented a FWD car in 1899.The American Walter Christie patented a FWD car in 1904.
No, they are rear wheel drive. You cannot drift a FWD car.
It is an in-line 4cyl. like any other transverse (fwd) car.
