How do you know which oxygen sensor on 2001 Pontiac grand prix is bad?

Bank 1 is usually the bank that #1 cylinder is on (sometimes the driver side while bank 2 is the passenger side) and sensor 1 is before the cat converter while sensor 2 is after the converter.

right.
There are (2) oxygen sensors on the 2001 Dodge caravan (in this
case Sport / SE edition) One is accesable under the hood the other
is down in the exaust array past the catalytic converter. If your
error message is showing that your heating element is out in the O2
sensor... its the front sensor.
