You add some chromium to the alloy when producing it. It's not something you can do at home, though you may be able to plate an existing steel piece with a thin layer of chromium.
Steel with the correct amount of nickel alloyed with it makes what is commonly called "armor plate", one of the toughest alloys of steel there is, hence an excellent material for safes.
There isn't enough information to make a calculation. If the mass is known and the radius is known, we can see that a steel plate with the given mass and radius will be thinner than a plastic plate with the same mass and radius. And a uranium plate will be thinner than the steel one if it has the same mass and radius. Without the density of the material or a knowledge of what it is (so we can look up its density), we're dead in the water. We can't solve it.

go to coolchaser.com and you can make your own layout
You can make a simple bending jig that will yield a cone, but it will not be perfectly smooth. The idea is a piece of flat or round steel stock that presses into the groove of another piece of angle iron. You can use threaded rod and a wrench or a floor jack to do the pressing. Email me at sbinternet at cox.net and I'll send you a picture with the basic idea.
Steel plates cannot be found in MapleStory. The only way is to: 1) Forge it using 10 steel ores and 450-500 mesos at either Vogen, Pi, Mr.Thunder, Muhamad, Chrishrama, or Chris. 2) Complete one of the following quests: Nella & Kerning City Citizen's Request, Keol's Order #2 Keol's Order #5 quest.

You don't find them, you make them or do a quest. To make them you'll need: One Bronze plate (Made from 10 bronze ores) One Steel Plate (Made from 10 Steel ores) Then go to any item maker (There's one in Henesys, Ellinia, Perion and Kerning City) and they'll make 15 screws for you. Or do this quest, John and Pink Flower Basket, and you'll get screws from him at the end of the quest. You don't find them, you make them or do a quest.
