Leaving Islam or Apostasy, according to Islamic Law is not just a sin, but a crime punishable by death. As a result, in many Islamic countries, it is practically impossible to leave Islam except secretly. Hence you don't.

If one has the choice to quit being Muslim he can simply do it. However, you should know that the free choice right is a responsibility. You should be aware of your faith choice and the consequences of this choice when being judged in front of God on the day of resurrection.

One of the basic principles of Islam teachings is that no compulsion in religion. Quran says: {there is No compulsion in religion} [Quran, Chapter 2, Verse 256].

Every one has the freedom to convert to Islam or to convert out of Islam. Some people claim that, in Islam religion, if one quit from being Muslim he/she would be killed as punishment. This was true only in the early few years of Islam because some people used to convert to Islam and then convert out just to cause confusion among Muslims. So, this punishment was imposed, at that time, such that people do not convert to Islam unless being serious that they believe in Islam and its truthfulness.

First of all, you need to consider your situation. Apostasy is considered by Muslims to be a profound insult to God (Allah), which deserves harsh punishment. The nature of the punishment, however, provokes passionate debate among scholars, with many believing that it should attract the death penalty for men and life imprisonment for women.
Apostasy is punishable by death in a number of countries, including Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Sudan and Afghanistan. In these countries, you would certainly keep your new beliefs as private as possible, and not publicly renounce Islam.

In Western countries, you are free to renounce Islam, just as you would be free to renounce Christianity or Judaism. In other parts of the world people who renounce Islam may be shunned by family and friends, and it is once again common to do so privately.

In Egypt and, to a lesser extent, Malaysia, Christians who have converted to Islam are generally permitted to reconvert back to Christianity.

Conversion to Christianity will probably be seen as less of an insult to God than outright atheism or some other religions. So, if you feel you need to explain that you are no longer a Muslim, it may be better to say that you have become a Christian, at least initially. Also, the Christian community can provide social support during the transition.

In some countries you can contact support groups for former Muslims.

They're threatened with death if they try. Quitting Islam is a lot like quitting a violent street gang. Most Muslims are not interested in leaving Islam. They believe in God and His Prophet as framed by Islam.

What is the fastest growning religion in the world?

It depends entirely on how the question is read. If the question is asking what is the largest religion that is still growing, the answer would be Christianity since there are more and more Christians born and converted every day than convert out or die. If the question is asking what religion is growing by the largest numbers of new followers (both births and converts), then the answer would be Islam, since the population growth in Muslim-majority countries has made Islam the religion with the most new adherents daily. If the question is asking what religion has the greatest percentage of growth, then this would be a contest between a number of very small religions which have high percentage increases, but low current population counts, such as Baha'i or Jehovah's Witnesses. Although these cannot match the numerical growth of Christianity or Islam, the thousands of converts and newborns have a much higher relative to the <20 million adherents to the religion.

What if I get into heaven and don't like it there can I leave?

If there really is a heaven, you probably can not leave, because the alternatives are no-existence (Judaism), hell (Christianity and Islam), or a return to earth, presumably forever. If there is no heaven, then you will never really go there.
