It probably doesn't have a pilot light. Turning the nob to the on position causes a click start - which is a spark that lights the flame. It's like most gas grills you buy today. Most furnaces are the same way now. Pilot lights are rather a thing of the past.
There is not an alternator indicator light on a Honda Pilot. If the alternator goes out, the battery will not stay charged.
Have you turned the control from Pilot to On? Have you increased the temperature setting?
If the pilot light is on, the heater should come on by itself. If the pilot light is off then it has to be lit. If it will not stay on, the thermocouple is bad.
You don't. If the heater has an electronic spark, then it doesn't have a standing pilot to light. The spark lights the pilot when there is a call for heat, which in turn lights the burners. If the heater is on and the pump is RUNNING, the heater should light automatically when the water temperature is lower than the heat setting.
High winds, pilot generator. Is the heater located next to a wall? Is the heater door closed? Does the heater have a draft hood or what they call a stackless heater? Ken
because its leaking out gas
The check engine light on the Honda Pilot is an indicator that there may be a problem with the engine. This could be minor such as air or water in the gas tank or could be an indicator of something more serious.
the pilot light in my fireplace is working but when i turn the switch on (new switch) it wouldn't fire up
Gas water heater has an orifice for main burner and for pilot light, if not electronic ignition.
Check to see if you pilot light is lit
Most likely your pilot light is out
