Open the glove box. Remove the glove box stop on each side, then let the glove box hang down. Remove the dust and pollen filter assembly (A) from the evaporator. Remove the filter (A) from the housing (B), and replace the filter. Install the filter in the reverse order of removal. Make sure that there is no air leaking out of the evaporator.
Air filter housing in on the right side of the engine, right beside the battery. Its the big black box with 3 1/2 inch corrugated hose linking it to the intake manifold. To replace filter, remove screws from the top side of the air filter housing and remove the cover. Lift air filter element and replace with a new one.
Locate the fulel filter under the hood near the battery it should be mounted on the firewall. its round and had 2 lines coming into it. remove the lines carefully using a 12mm and 14 mm wrench then unbolt the filter fromthe firewall and remove the ring that actually hlds it. install new filter in the reverse order
If your Civic is carburated, is doesn't have a pcv valve. All you can do is replace the filter on the side of the air cleaner assembly.....For fuel injection, check your intake (PGM-FI). Theres 3 hoses coming out towards the front of the car, the biggest hose (middle) goes to the pcv valve. Just pull the valve out and disconnect from the hose and replace it.....
