vacuum leaks can be hard to find. caution should be used if you try this method. using a can of starting fluid, avoiding anything hot or the carb intake. shoot it sparingly at various vac hoses while engine running. if it revs up you've found a place where its sucking in the starting fluid meaning there's a leak. its quick and dirty but be careful since starting fluid is highly flammable.

when i was tring to find a vacuum leak on my s10 i just used carbarater cleaner. and sprayed it around all the hoses and if it reves up that's where it is leaking.
you can take oil and put it where you suspect there to be a vacuum leak. If there is a leak the oil will be pulled into the engine or hose

There is no idle adjustment. The idle is adjusted electronically by the ecm. If you have a problem with the idle you may have other issues like a vacuum leak.
