Should be able to find this model in the Manufacture Date - Winchester section of www.oldguns.net. In fact, you can find it there. I just did. It's 1958.
Go to the Winchester Official Website enter serial # and it should be able to look up the specific gun, and hopefuly the manufacture date
Proofhouse.com has sn tables that you can look at.
No way to answer without the serial number. Blue Book of Gun Values has sn data if you want to look it up.
Proofhouse.com has sn tables you can look it up on.
Not sure. I just bought one that has a similar "f" prefix to the number and can't find the answer. That serial number appears to be from 1972. The phone number for Winchester is 800-333-3288 or 801-876-2711 and you will need your model and serial number for them to look up your date of manufacture.
This serial number is incorrect. The numbers for the 88 go from 1 to 285100. Look at the rifle carefully, perhaps with a magnifying glass.
Best guess is approximately 1986 according to the serial number If you know the model, you can look it up on OldGuns.net, or in a guide book.
I posted a hotlink under the "related links" heading below. It's a database where you can submit the model and serial numbers and look up the date of manufacture.
Go to Proofhouse.com and look at the Winchester sn data. No Proofhouse does not give serial info on the Model 1200 only the dates of manufacture from 1964 to at least 1984
