It probably needs a replacement motor or one of the roof mechanisms have failed.
The newer MHs have fire escape roof vents and side and rear windows, otherwise you break it out manually and Fast!
As long as you have a heater strip installed on the compressor, you will not have a problem.
I just looked at the sliding roof diagram in the RX300 (2000) repair manual. The motor is located at the front center of the roof opening. It looks like it's just in front of the sliding roof controls.

your head pressure will rise through the roof maybe pushing 800+psi on the high side, and will most likely burn out the compressor in a matter of seconds

Drive the motor car over to the tree by clicking on the back of it, and climb the tree to the roof of the house.

It should cover your roof for accidental damage, it will not cover a new roof if it needs replacing due to age.
If you are talking about an automobile, it is under the hood, driven by a belt and pulley. For home and commercial buildings, it is usually outside, eiter on a concrete pad or roof. In either case follow the hoses? Next time ask a more detailed question.
