Bigger diesels have pressure lubrication systems fairly similar to those of 4-stroke car engines. Engine oil is pumped under pressure to lubrication points, allowed to seep out, and is then collected, filtered and returned to the pump. Nozzles may be used to deliver oil to certain areas, like cylinder walls.

One can set an injector for a 320 diesel marine engine by setting the timing and duration.
The larger a diesel engine cylider is, the cruder the fuel can be and still work. Also, the larger the cylinder, the more efficient the engine. "Base" or bunker oil is a lot cheaper than refined highway diesel.
Marine Diesel engines can be bought from ebay which prices ranging from $287 to $1,134. Marine Diesels can also be purchased from 'tadiesels' which sells used marine diesel engines.

Clear water will "cavitate" (allow bubbles) causing pitting and eventually resulting in pin holes in cylinder liners.

If the air intahe and exhaust valves were not actuated what damages expected with the diesel engine? The engine is a four stroke marine diesel engine and because of the rocker arm gears broken the valves remained closed and not actuated.
Marine diesels are usually the largest. The Wärtsilä RT-flex96C is probably the largest diesel engine in the world at present. See related link for more information
There is NO relationship between number of cylinders and cc of an engine. It could be a 4, 6, or 8 cylinder engine in a car, - or even one cylinder in a medium sized marine engine.
