Bigger diesels have pressure lubrication systems fairly similar to those of 4-stroke car engines. Engine oil is pumped under pressure to lubrication points, allowed to seep out, and is then collected, filtered and returned to the pump. Nozzles may be used to deliver oil to certain areas, like cylinder walls.
