Stablemate tack is extremely hard to make, Live Show Quality or not. YouTube has a few guides. Some Youtube members make LSQ SM (Live Show Quality Stablemate) tack. You can PM some and ask for tips.
There are a few model horse hobbyists who have written short packets on making tack. There are also numerous guides online.

, I'm a massive breyer fan and collector myself and i know a few cheats to making breyer tack!! First of all there is a website called Utterly horses where you can buy everything breyer, they also have sections to help you create tack, scenes and much more ideas for breyer things!! Second of all, if you go onto youtube, tere are millions of videos of breyer tack and so just type in what you want to search for e.g. breyer tack patterns - you will find many videos of custom tack and ideas for tack making. Very few rugs and blankets would maybe fit, but it also depends on the size of the traditional Breyer (like comparing a draft to a pony, etc.) I would probably suggest buying Traditional tack because it would be difficult to fit Classic tack on Traditionals.

First of all, the website you're buying it from should either say the inches the horse is, or the size (traditional, classic, stablemate etc.). Then, if you want the inches you can research the inches of the size (traditional, classic, stablemate etc.) it is. If the website doesn't say either format of size you should contact the seller and find out the size.

the most professional and best breyer horse competition is held in Kentucky called breyerfest. you bring your breyer horses, and try to fit the action such as jumping, have a jumping doll with the right tack and horse. then show it. if you win you get a ribbon. kinda like a real horse competition
