S= strenghs.what could these be?-good products,skilled staff,new machinery,solid reputation . W= weaknesses.perhaps the opposite of any of the above factors. Opportunities= new markets for existing products or create new products for present/future markets. Threats =competitors,financial risks,staffing issues ,changes in demand for products etc You need to ensure the strengths match the threats and can take advantage of the opportunities.Similarly,you need to watch out that any external threats( eg. demand for new products) do not line up against your internal weaknesses (eg.old machinery).Devise a strategy to build on your strengths ( eg.recruit more skilled staff,maintain good salary levels) and neutralise your weak points (reduce your trading with companies with poor records of paying on time for your products).
