first make 2 layers 1 for the sprites and 1 for background. go to import find your image for the background. next go to where the image is in the layer bar thing ( DON'T QUESTION ME) copy and paste it through out LAYER 2. once you have pasted enough lock the layer. for your 1st layer this is the one with your sprites highlight all the bars in that row up to where you ended with your background then right click and select insert blank keyframeand that's pretty much it >:D

To make a Macromedia Flash presentation, you first need to open a new document. Next, select the background color, theme, or graphic for your project. Remember to keep saving your project as an .swf file to preserve its format and properties. Once the background is selected, you can upload a music file if desired. The software also has stock music available for presentations. Your next step is to enter any text, photos, or special effects you desire. One of the more popular effects is the swipe feature, which looks professional from start to finish. When you are done with the project, press preview. This will allow you to make any edits or changes you wish. The last step is to save the project and upload it to your website or blog.

It is a scripting language, similar in syntax to C / C++, and is compiled as part of the flash movie file.Fore more information, see:http://www.answers.com/ActionScript
