Look into scheduling using the AT command.
Schedule the program to run once:
AT 2am /NEXT:Thursday "batch_file.bat"
The above command will set batch_file.bat to run at 2AM on the next Thursday.
Schedule the program to run every week:
AT 2am /EVERY:Thursday"batch_file.bat"
This command is similar, but sets batch_file.bat to run at 2AM every week on Thursday.
Assuming you mean a shell script (AKA batch file), you simply add a .bat as the extension to any plaintext file. There is no limitation for the actual filename aside from this (except for regularly unallowed charachters like > and /). For instance, if you wanted to name your batch file hello world, you would open up a new notepad document, enter your code, then save as File Name: hello world.bat and change the Save as Type: All Files. Windows automatically recognizes any file with the .bat extension as an executable batch file, so to run it, you would just double-click it like any other document or file. To edit the batch file again, you can right click it and select Edit, or use notepad to open it from its respective location. Hope that answers your question.
You double-click on it. You can indeed launch a jar file from the command line, with the following command: java -jar yourfile.jar As well as this you can assign "Jar Launcher" as the default app. to use when you double-click a jar file, as follows (I don't believe you need the developer tools installed for this): Click once on the .jar file in the Finder and then from the menubar in the Finder select File -> Get Info". Click on "Open with" and from the popup menu select "Other". A file browser window will open. In this window, go to the /System/Library/CoreServices folder and select 'Jar Launcher'. Then make sure the "Always Open With" checkbox is checked and then click Add. Then click the "Change all" button so that any jar file will be opened automatically. Finally, close the Info window and now when you double-click any of your jar files they should run automatically.

You can't make the batch file automatically open up in fullscreen mode, but you can do this: @echo off mode 800 "Commands here" This will open the batch file in a rather larger-than-normal window, but it will not be in fullscreen, the user of the batch file must click the maximize button to make it fullscreen.

"Bat" is short for "batch" which is a type of scripting language for computers. They're basically just text files which you can write to do simple tasks for you. To read one (on Windows) right-click the file, then choose "open with" and select Notepad. Further reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.bat A batch file is a text file that contains a sequence of commands for a computer operating system. It's called a batch file because it batches (bundles or packages) into a single file a set of commands that would otherwise have to be presented to the system interactively from a keyboard one at a time. A batch file is usually created for command sequences for which a user has a repeated need. Commonly needed batch files are often delivered as part of an operating system. You initiate the sequence of commands in the batch file by simply entering the name of the batch file on a command line.
