Go to blogspot.com and sign in using your Google account information. Then click the button for create blog. You'll have to pick a name for your blog that is not already in use. Once that's done you are good to start adding things to your blog. You'll see a dashboard with a drag and drop interface where you can add and edit posts. You can even go to settings and give yourself a secret email address which can post emails that you send to the site automatically. That way you can update your blog offsite.
