By "brochure", we'll assume you me a "tri-fold" brochure: meaning that if you fold the paper in thirds, as you would for putting a letter into an envelope, you have 3 "panels" on each side of the paper.
This requires some fairly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word. And, if you want it printed on both sides of the paper, you will need to experiment with how to turn the paper to print on the second side.
There are several approaches you can take, all of which are really to complicated to explain in text, but here goes...
1) Set your page orientation to landscape
2) Set your margins to all be equal, to whatever size you prefer
3) Insert a one row, three column table. This will break your page width into three equal panels.
OR, even better if you now how...
3) Insert a one row, five column table. Then make columns 2 and 4 really skinny, and use these columns to represent the "margin" between each panel. So that, columns 1, 3, and 5 will be exactly the desired width for each "panel".
4) if you know how, set the properties of the table to NOT allow the table to automatically adjust to fit contents. (Select the table, pick Table Properties from the Table menu/ribbon, and find the check box to turn off automatic adjust. )
While you are in the Table Properties, you might wish to set the single row to a fixed height (like 10 inches), and the columns to specific width measurements.
5) Now you can type into each panel, and place text, pictures, etc as desired.
Take your time, be observant, and be patient, and you will build a really nice brochure!
You need to have this program called microsoft publisher, you can make brochures there. You can't really make a brochure on microsoft word.
It is certainly possible to make a brochure using Microsoft Word. However, it is usually better to use specific brochure making software as it will be easier.
Yes you could make a brochure in it. For a simple brochure, it would be very good. For something more sophisticated and glossy, then a desktop publisher would be better to use.
Excel
PowerPoint is really not designed for making brochures. You could make a brochure on PowerPoint by creating the pages you want to see and then manually ensuring that they print back-to-back, but using a word processing program for the brochure would be much easier.
You cannot change the format from Office 2003 to Office 2007, the technology was not out then. But you can make a RTF document that will open in Office 2007. Click on File/Save as/click on the arrow to open the drop down list/ choose RTF
In Microsoft Office 2007 a trace map is called a "Horizontal Hierarchy." Go to INSERT, SMART ART, HIERARCHY, and click the bottom left chart.
If you have Microsoft use their format be sure to use lots of picture and don't make it too boring
Computer would be an ideal source to make a brochure and to print it. Software programmes like Microsoft Word have many suggestions for making brochures, newsletters, etc. Internet is useful to learn about brochure making. It is possible to make colourful brochures with a colour printer.
To restore Microsoft Office 2007, you can try repairing the installation by going to the Control Panel, selecting "Programs and Features," finding Microsoft Office 2007, and clicking "Change." Then, choose the "Repair" option and follow the prompts. Alternatively, if you have the original installation disc or setup files, you can run the setup again to repair or reinstall the software. Make sure to back up any important documents before proceeding.
You could use Microsoft Word to make pamphlets.
You can't. I think you are talking about new DOCX standard. In this case only Microsoft Office 2003 with additional patch/plugin can handle this new format. You should avoid using 97 Office, it is not supported anymore. I suggest you going to free alternative (OpenOffice) or updating to 2007 or 2010 Office (coming in few months).
