- You cannot make a girl forget her deceased boyfriend if it has happened in the last year or so. It is traumatic that a young man died so young and she loved him. Young people from generation to generation never think that they will die so when someone close to them does it is a very traumatic situation in their life. Love simply does not vanish because that person is deceased. She is grieving which is normal so it would be to your best interest to back away from any romantic thoughts about her and simply be there as a good friend until her grieving time is over.
