If he is number one in your life, you don't need to 'make him feel', he will feel it. If he doesn't, then he's either egocentric or at the least not that interested in you. If he is number one in your life, how you feel should be reflected in your behavior; anything more would be a false veneer, leading to false expectations. Not a good relationship.
