Remove all the gas in the tank. Put the vehicle on a lift. Support the tank and remove two straps. Remove the filler hose from the tank. Slowly drop the tank until you can access the top. Remove the plastic lock on the wiring harness. Remove the wiring harness. Remove the pump outlet line and the gas return line. Mark them so you won't get confused. Drop the tank to the floor. Remove the lock ring lock. Using a spanner or 6 inch channel-lock pliers, rotate the lock ring counter-clockwise. Impart a downward pressure as the fuel pump is spring loaded. Pull up on the pump and remove. Replace with new gaskets and lock ring lock.
Take your title to a Harley dealer. They can cut you a key or get you a key code that a locksmith can use to make you your key. You could also remove the ignition lock or secondary lock (helmet or gas tank or seat lock), take it to a locksmith and they will make you a key. They will ask for proof of ownership.
