Import image into iPhoto, and music into iTunes. Create new movie. Insert picture into movie. Insert song into movie.
If you mean like video or audio directly from the isight or the mic in the mac using no video cameras to import, it can record until the start up disk is full. This means that what ever space iMovie can find, it will use. This means taking up space on your computer. If you look at the lower right hand corner of imovie, you will see a number, which is the amount of space available on your computer.
There is no software that can play Imovie for Windows. Imovie is meant for Mac users. For Windows users, they can edit movie by using Windows Movie Maker.
iMovie doesn't support Audio Units plugins, so you'll have to export the sound of the movie using the Quicktime Export -> Sound to Wave option, and then use the Vocal Transformer in Garageband to pitch shift your voice up. Share back to iTunes, and then import it back into the movie.
iMovie is an Apple product and you can get more information on it from Apple Support at apple dot com slash support slash imovie. You can also download the iMovie HD 6 Getting Started Manual in PDF there,
Get as rock-solid an image as possible, and get good audio. To see how we use cameras, read the article link. Hope this helps.

I would suggest using an audio slitter cable if it's an old set of external speakersor almost any DVD/BlueRay will have multiple audio in on the back of it (like audio in for TV or audio for Aux or Tuner). Then just set the single audio out to your speakers. Also the DVD/BlueRay Player will be best so you can change which device plays the audio using a remote control. (If I understood the question right).
by using editing apps like Premiere Pro or iMovie.
