How do you make friends if you are a quiet person?

I am a quiet person myself and basically what you have to do is see who the D-heads are and stay away from them.

Then see who likes the same stuff as you I know it sounds corny but it works.

Do not go straight up and try to make friends occassionally drop in something as you are walking past. If they react well continue doing so however don't do it 5 times a day maybe once or twice.

Join into games that they play. try your hardest to be okay don't play incredibly bad don't play incredibly good and don't whinge or complain.

Eventually start trying to pair up with people in projects or sport and sooner or later (if you continue this) you should have your very own friends and all the other loners will be so jealous.

Most importantly though do not become a D-head yourself always let people come and join in with you.

If you are not outgoing you should try to come out of your shell and go and talk to someone that seems nice to get to know and be friends with. You could meet people at clubs or playing a team sport. Sports like soccer, swimming, volleyball and Baseball are good sports to get to know people. You should look for people with the same interests as you or have a lot in common with you. If you see someone who is alone sitting at a table or on the playground go and say hi and introduce yourself. I bet lots of people would be lucky to be your friend so you should go and show people what a great person you are!
