First, the fact that you are shy should not prevent you from making money, getting an education, or being successful. Many shy people (myself included) have learned the skills they needed to have a good career. The key is to avoid defining yourself by what you can't do, and focus on what you can do. For example, you may not be a good public speaker, but not every job involves public speaking. Perhaps you would be more comfortable working in a field where speaking to large crowds is not part of the work. Perhaps you would enjoy working with animals, or working in a research lab, or working online in a small business. (While most online businesses are scams, you can check the Small Business Association's website for reliable advice about how to start your own business.)
I would also recommend that you take an aptitude test to find out what you are potentially good at, and then make a plan to get the right training. It is never too late (I got a PhD at age 64) and even if you think you are too shy, that doesn't mean you can't overcome it-- people do change, and people overcome all kinds of things. And one other suggestion-- if you haven't already, you may want to get some counseling, to help you to develop some more effective coping strategies and learn not let your shyness hold you back.
