Try walking a couple miles a day. Walking at the same time every day is good too. Your body gets into a rhythm of doing it. Oprah uses a treadmill for walking. You can not "spot reduce" - eat less, exercise more, and add lunges/squats to HELP tone your hips - sorry, no magic pill for that one except for Liposuction. Cardiovascular training, you cannot "spot train" and lose weight in just one area, it takes hard work and you will lose weight all over if you are consistent and disciplined. You can walk,run,do the stairmaster,elliptical trainer,bike, swim, any aerobic fitness class, just as long as you do this for 60-90 min per day most days of the week you will see results! You must also change your eating habbits if they are not healthy and in line with the amount of calories you need per day!

Unfortunately making your hip bone smaller is not really possible because it's a bone and it supports your body weight. It's also due to genetics. BUT you can try wearing a tight belt around your hip every night but also put padding on so it doesn't dig into your skin. I heard that it will reduce your hips 1 millimeter a week.
