hi.... i got my membranes stripped and it did nothing but gave me contractions on and off for two days. but when i went in for next visit they stripped me again and i went home and drank 2 tablespoons of castrol oil mixed with Orange Juice and took a long hot bath and two hours later i went to bathroom for first tme. had one bowel movement and that was it. i thought it was a waste but i ended up having my daughter at 2:58 the next morning. i dunno if it was the stripping or the oil but the stripping didnt work the first time but it could have been the source. i was 39 weeks and 6 days when i did the oil and barely 1 and a half cm dialated and 70% effaced. dunno what caused her to honestly come but that's what i did. sex didnt work, walking didnt work, and stairs and squats didnt work but everyone is different. good luck
It depends on how far along you are. (If you at least 8-9 months) you make yourself go into labor by:
1. Having sex
2. Taking a long walk
3. And for some women can even go into labor by riding in a car and going over big bumps in the road
Make sure to not over do it and hurt yourself and/or the baby.
you should walk or your labor will be awlful
You dont! the baby comes and ur water breaks and theres no way you can make yourself go into labor.
The ways to try to start labor is sex, walks and spicy food according to the doctor. The cervix will never be touched when you make these attempts yourself. That would be dangerous.
Do not try to make your cervix efface by yourself. If your doctor feels like you need to go into labor, he will start you on medicine. Its not good for your baby or you to try to do things on your own.
Yes it can make u go into labor
Yes it can
You can scare a dog and drive it into early labor.
been looking for things that will put in labor. what should I try?
No
You have to be pregnant first.
Cod liver oil will not make you go into labor or have any effect on the labor you are already in.
You can prolong labor especially when you want to carry full term. The way to do this is plenty of bed rest. I cant express how much bed rest you have to have. You cant go walking on a treadmill or walking for prolonged periods of time, this will onset the labor. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids, dehydration can also cause contractions which trigger the labor. Another thing is if you have to pee, then pee. Holding it in will cause contractions which again will cause the onset of labor. Top priority I would say is bed rest and not being stressed. Stress is a big one when trying to prolong labor. If something is aggravating you then you have to take it upon yourself to make sure you don't let yourself get stressed.
