You can try adding more liquid (dairy based, in particular) to dilute the flavor. (If it gets too runny you can try adding flour or cornflour to thicken). Alternatively you can try adding sugar, about 1/2 a teaspoon at a time, checking to see if it tastes any better after each addition.

I've accidentally put several times too much paprika in dishes before, to no real ill effect. it might make it a bit dry tasting, so a bit extra water and oil may help if it's chilli peppers, then i believe there's something about putting half a lemon in for a few minutes and then taking it out, but I've never tried it
