It is not a very good idea to open a kitten's eyes. It could damage a kitten's growth. Keep in mind that a kitten's eyes are fully open in four weeks.
So, I suggest seeing a vet if the eyes are not developing and not opening after a long period of time.
They remain eyes once they open!!
7-10 days after birth
There is no set time as far as I know, but they usually open their eyes within 2 weeks of birth. We had our kittens when they were a week old, and their eyes were closed for a short time longer.
Kittens are between 7-10 days and puppies 9-11 days
Kittens are born with their eyes closed. They gradually open at 7 - 14 days. Their vision gradually improves after that. Never touch kittens eyes.
Kittens are born with their eyes shut and then in a few days start to open them. When they first open their eyes all kittens eye color is blue, during this time yes they are color blind. At a few weeks old the color changes to what ever color eyes your cat will have and that's when they can see in color
Probably not. The mother could be very protective and also if you are not very very careful you could hurt the kittens. But soon after they open their eyes I think it might be safer.

well...it all depends on the cat. It normally would start to open and day 3-10. Some kittens take longer than others. It first starts opening as little slits in the eyes, then eventually becomes completely openI have also heard that kittens open they eyes 8-14 days. Like said before, it all depends on the cat.
No, ferrets are not born with their eyes open. Baby ferrets open their eyes when they are about 34 days old.
Oh please don't do that!! The eyes must remain closed until they are fully developed, at which time they will open on their own.
