a pop can tab
the pull-ring tab on pop-cans was invented by Frase but was later sold to Alcoa in 1963.
There is a latch below and to the left of your steering wheel. Pull this latch and it will "pop" the hood and at the same time a plastic pull tab will appear between the slats in your grill. Pulling that tab will release your hood and you can easily raise it.
soda can or a can that you can open by lifting a metal tab.

There is a red handle under that steering wheel that you pull to pop that hood. On the front grill of the car a grey tab pops out, pull it out and pull the hood up at the same time. Once done, close hood and grey tab is no longer visible. Hope this helps =)
Pull the hood open lever on the driver side of car, there should be a tab that slips out from with in the front grill on the right side of the emblem standing in front of the car. If the tab does not come out, lift the hood a little and it should pop out, then pull it and lift. Done!
my 04 navigator has a yellow pull tab over the passenger side headlight that you pull to the side (left side if youre looking at it from front). after you pop the hood open from the inside go to the front passenger side of hood / over headlight, pull yellow tab to left and pop hood open.' good luck!
It's actually kinda tricky. Pull the door release inside, and your hood should pop, and a pull tab should pertrude out from under the hood. grab that tab and pull down first and then to the right. This should do the trick. If not, then you will have to do what I did with my girlfriend's car: Drive it to a dealership and ask them the most embaressing question, "How do you open the hood?" Good Luck!
I'd have to say between an inch and two, dear ^_^
Pull tabs, pop tops, stay tabs (also called ecology tabs).
The lever is on the drivers side, below the steering wheel on the right side, near the pedals. Then pull the tab that has popped out at the front grill. If the lever is broken, you can try using 2 people to open the bonnet: Get someone to pull the release lever below the steering wheel TOWARDS them. While they are pulling it towards them you can go stand in front of the bonnet and press down firmly on the middle/end of the bonnet (above the emblem) until you hear a click. The tab in the grill should then pop out for you to pull, and the bonnet should open like normal when you pull the tab
