if you looking for the manual way
it should be a steel wire under the head light on the right side (i believe the right side should remove the wheel and the plastic cover
if you could not find it and you had bumper replacement before some times they stuck it behind the bumper and this is a longer because you have to loose the bumper
you can also try to raise the car from the right side and look under the front bumper towards the right side and try to locate roughly where is the latch and look under may be you get luck you will find the steel wire you just need to pull it
good luck
Send 12volts from donor battery through E3 fuse located under left kick panel. Once security system beeps push unlock button on key fob. Have to continue to send voltage while pushing fob unlock. Don't forget to ground car body with neg terminal on donor batt.
pull out the red tagged post in the fuse box at drivers left foot. use jumper cables to temporarily supply car with power, open hood and access battery :)
Open the door and pull the hood release. You actually have to send power from donor battery to E3 fuse. Once you hear the alarm beep hit unlock button on key fob. Remember to ground body of car with neg term on donor batt.
Pull the hood release handle inside the vehicle.
go to the front of the car and open the hood if the engines not there your screwed
On the 2002 boxter in the fuse panel at drivers left foot, there is a red tagged thing...pull it out and hook jumper cables to it. This will give your car the power it needs to pop the hood. so that you can get to battery. the other option is there is supposed to be a catch wire near the headlight that you can catch with a hook and pull, this should pop hood.
pull hood release latch, located on the driver side left foot
I had the same problem with my Boxter when the battery went dead. I called the Porsche dealer and he offered me a suggestion that worked great, Go to a auto part store and buy a small battery that plugs into your cigarette lighter for the purpose of starting cars when batteries are dead. Leave it plugged in for about 20 minutes and it gives you enough charge to open your hood latch. Make sure your door is open when you go to pop the latch, as I was sitting in my car with the door closed and trying to figure out why it wasnt working. Now I always keep one charged in my glove box. Good luck! Sue
Open the door and pull the hood release.
unfortunately, if it's not written in the owner's manual or on the sticker located under the hood, you might have to do what i did. the radio had to be pulled, and the serial number called into porsche. they are the only ones who can give you the code :0(
under the front hood, under a battery cover just beyond the spare tire.
The hood should still open when the battery is dead
To charge the battery on a Porsche Cayenne S you need to open the hood and on the driver's side open the tallest panel and put the cables on the two points.
