For one to open a post office card account, the person needs to ask the government facility that issues their payment (i.e.: pension, taxes, etc.) for approval. If the government agency is one that pays to a post office card account, one will be opened for you by that agency. Once the card is open, you may use the card freely, without the worry of overdraft fees.

See your local Job Centre and ask for a 'Letter of Invitation For A Post Office Card Account' Take the letter to your local Post Office, hand it over and ask for a form for a Post Office Card Account. Once The form is filled in, wait two weeks. You will receive two letters. The first is a letter of acceptance. The second letter is a Personal Identification Number (PIN). Take both of these letters back to the post office. You will be issued a card to use with your PIN. Benefit can be paid into a Post Office Card Account (but not all types of benefit, Job Seekers Allowance IS allowed). Best to check if your benefit can be paid at the first step.
Yes, you can. If you have a state bank of India ATM card and a PIN number then you can use that to withdraw cash from your state bank account. However if you don't have a state bank ATM card, you will be unable to take money from the ATM.
No, unless the debit card is connected to a joint account with you. In that case the state can freeze the account to pay child support arrears.
This is a serious issue. In every state upon the death of an account holder the card issuer(s) must be given timely notification. Even before that is done the card is NOT to be used. Person's using the card(s) after the account holder's death can be held responsible for any/all debt incurred. They may also be liable for civil and/or criminal penalties.
Illinois is not a community property state, therefore a spouse who is not a joint account holder is not responsible for the credit card debt of the other spouse.
Credit card companies could not garnish a retirement account at one time in Florida.
A credit card account comes with a credit card, which can be used to authorize purchases of any value. The checking account does not come with a credit card and is used for issuing checks.
