From the inside, there is a small door (just like a battery door) open it and inside you can see the mechanism to open the hatch. All new cars has this safety feature so that you can get out of the trunk even if someone closed it from the outside.
It is on the left side of the driver's side.

Seating for 5 only. 3 in back row, two in front. Has latches for car seat if needed.
Take 2 screws out and pull light straight back, it will come over, replace bulbs and put back on and replace screws
I don't know for sure, but I have the same issue (2004 Endeavor LS). I have asked a mechanic this and the only answer i got was that it could be an exhaust leak. I haven't actually got it looked at, have you found out anything new?
It is under a narrow panel in the cargo deck just behind the rear seat back . I had to go to the dealer for them to show me. you just lift it up.
The pressure switch is located on the back of the power steering pump which is on the passenger side of the car at the rear of the engine. You can reach it from top or bottom but I found, to take it out it is easier to reach from under the car. It is the only part of the power steering pump that has a wire going to it.
The problem is probably the rear wheel bearings
remove the front console cover by pulling on it backwards. This is held by clips and the electronic connector at the back central portion. Be careful not to break the console cover Disconnect the wires that is connected to this console to remove it entirely. Remove the metal screws that holds the stereo pull it out and disconnect all the harnesses behind it.
It could be the rear differential--there was a recall on this back in 2005--hope this helps
