the 1984 L83 Corvette engine has 205 HP@4300 RPM and 290 ft-lb of torque@2800 RPM measured at the crank. The L83 was introduced in 1982 for the last model year of the C3 Corvette, and the first model year of the C4. These were the only 2 years that had the L83, which featured Cross-Fire fuel injection.

On a convertible it's under the bonnet. On a coupe it's behind the driver's seat. This, of course, only counts if someone hasn't removed it.
There are several companies specializing in Corvette parts. Most of them have available a devise that you install through the driver's door top hinge opening to open a hood that has a broken or stretched cable. Check it out, as they run only about $25.
Lambo Aventador could kill the Corvette the Corvette only goes 330kph but Lambo Aventador goes 370.
The only nickel I can think of in a Corvette, would be in the engine bearing inserts.

The system is disarmed by unlocking either door with the key or by turning the ignition on. Alarm shut down is accomplished only by unlocking either door with the key.

Typically with really big fire extinguisher. If the car is fully engulfed, only the fire department will have the resources to extinguish the fire. If it is in the engine compartment, and has only begun to smolder or is quite small, sometimes slamming the hood will blow the fire out. Do not waste much time doing this though, with inside hood releases, this can be dangerous.
