Open the flip-out key.
Look in the long strip where the key sits, there's a small flat head screw with the words LOCK and UNLOCK. Turn it to UNLOCK with a small screwdriver, then prise out the battery with the screwdriver end, to the left of the screw next to the key hinge. The battery comes out in the plastic holder.
Replace with a fresh battery (2032) , slot back in and LOCK.

Open the FOB and find out.
Two wire connection in the fob. Open and check both wires are fix in place.
Pry open the fob using a coin or a small screwdriver.
Open the key fob and remove the battery which has a # on it, and then buy a duplicate.

the fob may need recoding to the vehicle, if you still have the second fob then point and operate this fob at the receiver (by the interior mirror) and operate the faulty fob at the same time, this should bring the second fob back into sinc. robb
open the lid and change it.
on the key fob, turn the key over so that the buttons are on the back. there is a small groove near the blade/key end of the fob. you can prise this open using a small screwdriver or if you're strong pull the blade/key part outward/away from the fob. the remaining key fob can then be split in two to get at the battery. beware that you only have a very short time to replace the battery or the fob will go out of sync with the car.
Open the key fob, remove the battery and look and see what size it is.
