To locate the starter motor you open the bonnet then look between the radiator and the gearbox you will then see the starter motor the live wire coming from the battery goes to the starter motor so just follow that. The starter motor is held into the gearbox with 3 bolts and a bracket at the other end. This bracket needs removing before you undo the 3 main bolts as the starter wont come off with this bracket on.Make sure you know where the wires go when you put it back together

If you rip open the lower part of the dash then you can bare two of the wires leading into the starter motor and make them touch, that should start the motor. Although that is pretty dangerous yet pretty fun.

There is a wire from the alternator to the starter motor. On the starter motor end, there is a fusible link that sometimes melts. With the engine off, check the battery volts and check the volts on the big red alternator wire. If they are not the same voltage, the link is open. If the link is open, the battery will not charge
