Pull the carpeting back around the latch. You'll see the motor, and there will be a plug attached to it. Pull the plug.

The pull down motor switch could be defective. Check for power to the motor
Open the trunk and pull down the carpet on the left wall. It should be there. It is usually a box about 6" x 3" and about 1.5" high, with a single plug in the center. The plug is virtually square in shape.
I have 2008 kia spectra which has two small back pull handles inside the trunk at the top of the opening. you pull them to unlonck the seats to fold them down-just asked customer service at the local dealership.
i have a 1990 Cadillac Seville and my trunk has hydraulics on it. I just have to shut it until its almost closed and then it does the rest on its own. but you shouldn't have to slam it down or anything If it does not pull down you need to replace the pull down switch.

If you could get into the car and open the back seats theres a release inside the trunk. Some cars have pull down seats just pull it down and poull the glow in the dark handle on the trunk
There is a button in your trunk. Pull that out and a cord on the side of the rear seat. Pull that and voila! Rear seat is down!

In the trunk, their are two tan levers at the top of the trunk, right in the front. Give them them a good pull, and u should hear the sound of the seat's clamp release. Then pull the seats down.
