If you've tried the old fashioned way and nothing happens, try this before you take your grille, bumper or fenders off to access the cable:
On the interior where hood release handle is, remove the cover/trim. This can be done by popping off the 2 rivets holding it in place. Pull the handle again and pull the cable with some pliers. It should pop your hood up or release the latch. You should be good to go if the cable is still attached and simply had stretched. If the cable pulls through, and nothing happens you might have to pull the bumper off enough to access the latch. Sometimes the latch seizes, so have someone pull the cable from the interior and try pull up on the hood from the outside. Hope this helped....it did help me tremendously because I was low on brake fluid, my brakes wouldn't work and then realized the hood release wasn't working. It worked on the first try. Good Luck!!
Are you serious? There is a latch on the bottom left side kick panel. Pull it forward. The hood will pop open and there will be a lever that you pull up with your right hand.
reach your hand through the bumper and pull the cable
pop the hood there should be 10 or 12mm bolts on top of each headlight assembly, this is right as you open the hood you cant miss them.
Same problem on my 2005 Honda Civic. Any one has the answer?
pull the hood lever in the car. in case you dont know its on the drivers side and is under the change thing. then slide your hand under the hood and there is a little metal lever pull that up and the hood should pop open.
You pop the hood take and reach behind the headlight and pull off the bulb cover then pull the bulb out and put the new one in.
i have the same car. how to tell what oil.. simple pop open your HOOD and on engine oil CAP it should say the type of oil ur car needs. :]
Yes, it just pops off.
The backseat is held on by mounting bolts. Removing the bolts will allow the backseat to pop off of the 1999 Honda Civic. Installation requires to mount the seats correctly.
The door panel on a 2002 Honda Civic is held on by several mounting screws and clips. Remove the mounting screws first, then pull the panel off. The remaining clips will just pop off.
Pop your hood, it should be Indicated on top of the engine.
Is it a backfire, or a pop. civics with free flowing exhaust has the tendency to POP when you shift gears. If you are backfiring its because of a stray spark, or a timing problem, wires crossed.
