By your left foot on the side there is a "T"shaped handle pull hard.
pull the screws on the grill, pull the grill, then pop it with a screwdriver
If you are talking about the anti-left lock you can just pop the hood and disconnect the battery cables and it should reset and everything will be fine.
pop up your hood. look directly down and you'll see a cover that is over it that is connected to where your hood latches. It'll take Allen wrenchs or a socket set to get it out. and the drain is on the left bottom corner of your front grille. my jeep has a bit knocked out of the grille to have easier access.
pop the hood and find a little cilinder with a little horn attached and take ouy all the wires (dont get shocked)
go and pop the hood, look to your left to the 10 o'clock position, you will see a black box about 2"x8" next to the battery, pop that open and it will have the locations of all relays. hope that helps. peace out.
First, pull the handle then have someone pull up on the hood. If that doesn't work, take it to a body shop. If that dont work try pulling lever and tapping on hood possible stuck. Hood should pop up then lubricate latch with wd-40.
Try to find the cable that the hood release would normally pull, you might have to remove some panels. Try pulling that with a vice grips.
I was told by the Jeep Dealer tonight that you have to remove the tires/wheels and pop it out from the back.
Why not just pop the hood on a 2002 Liberty and take a look see?
Pop your hood, it should be Indicated on top of the engine.
Just pop it out :). There are little clips along the side of the bezle. BE CAREFUL they'll break extremely easy, but you can gradually just pop out one by one
I have the same problem on my 2002 jeep grand Cherokee. Both hood lifts no longer hold the weight of the hood. I found that you can buy brand new aftermarket hood lifts from eBay motors for about $20 plus shipping. To remove the old lifts have a friend hold up the hood. Then take a small screw driver and pop off the safety ring on each end of the old lift. Push the old lift off the small mounting posts. The new lift just snap on those posts...it takes 10 minutes total. Be sure the fat gas cylinder is mounted on the top and the shaft at the bottom. This ensures the shaft is properly lubricated. Just put them in in the same position/direction as the old struts.
