I have the same problem on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both hood lifts no longer hold the weight of the hood. I found that you can buy brand new aftermarket hood lifts from eBay motors for about $20 plus shipping. To remove the old lifts have a friend hold up the hood. Then take a small screw driver and pop off the safety ring on each end of the old lift. Push the old lift off the small mounting posts. The new lift just snap on those posts...it takes 10 minutes total.
Be sure the fat gas cylinder is mounted on the top and the shaft at the bottom. This ensures the shaft is properly lubricated. Just put them in in the same position/direction as the old struts.
Hey Ed==You can pull the engine or the trans. Most mechanics pull the trans but both are a big job. Unless you are very well versed on mechanics and have lifts and fixtures to hold the engine while the trans is out, I suggest you let the pros do it. Auto Zone will have a shop manual that will tell you how. Goodluck Joe

yesmy 2000 jeep wrangler has cherokee srings instead of its stock springs it lifts it a little and rides great and is a direct fit
It doesn't have any. The hood has hydraulic lifts on both side that should, in theory, keep the hood up.
Depends on what you are looking for but, they do sell material lifts online, or if you like to purchase your items face to face, you can use a search engine to find a close manufacteror closest to you.
You should be able to get them through autopart stores. You can also go to a auto recycler and have them get them from one of their vehicles. You can always get them from the dealer if this fails. Also try looking on line at a "crash parts" dealer. This is a place that sells parts to repair wrecked vehicles.
The hood, also known as the bonnet is the part that lifts to give access to the engine.
Usually on the Trunk Lifts - either on the right or left side.
What is happening is your heater blend doors (the ones that move to control heat or cooling) are slipping on the keyed motor shaft and falling down over the heater core. They have cracked on the axel and the stepper motor lifts them up, then they fall down. When you restart the vehicle, they cycle and catch for a short while giving you heat again. Then at some point they fall down leaving you with no heat until you cycle the control motor by turning off/on the Jeep.
There are several kinds of car lifts in operation today. Some of which are two post lifts, 4 post lifts, 4 post alignment lifts, inground lifts, mobile column lifts, short rise lifts, mid rise lifts and home garage lifts.
Assuming you mean engine mounts, these days broken engine mounts will still hold the engine in place not like the older mounts from the 60's and older that allowed the engine to flop around when they broke like a fish out of water. The engine cooling fan may rub the radiator shroud under acceleration and you may also hear some clunking and feel some vibrations. Replacing the mounts would be recommended.
The cold Labrador Current mixes with waters of the Gulf. This lifts nutriants to the surface and makes it an ideal place for fishing.
