You need to first purchase a crate large enough for your dog to stand up, turn around in and lie down. Put the dog in the crate at night (with lots of blankets and some toys that he or she might like) near your bed. Normally a dog will not urinate or defecate in their own den. Be sure to take him or her out quite often at first and praise your dog when he or she does their duty outside. Your dog will soon get the idea, if taken out enough in the beginning and praised lots when he or she does do their duty outside. Scold them if you can catch them doing it in their crate. Just say a firm NO or Bad Dog. Let them know you are not pleased with them.

It depends on when you potty train your toddler. Most toddlers start potty training around 2.5 - 3 and are completely potty trained (regular underwear only) at age 4. Yes, it is a long process that needs consistency and support on your part as a parent. Praise your child for doing well, but dont punish for accidents. Remember, its a hard transition from never remembering to use a restroom to always having to remember. Be understanding and supportive.
Go to the pound for a free dog.Or if you want to get a breeded dog, got to a pet store. Then you've to consider what you need for it * Water * Food * Toys * Vet Bills * Doggy treats to train it To potty train it - I know this sounds cruel. After feeding, playing, or cuddling it, take it over to your litter box, newspaper pile, outside, or wherever, and say a command you use to make it go to the bathroom.
