Actually, the so-called supernatural powers are quite natural, just that most don't know how to use them. Electricity is a "hidden" type of energy, and the right people know how to harness it. So "magic" is much like this. The energy comes from yourself, nature, and any deities you believe.

The two most useful "occult" skills are visualization and affirmations. As you become more like what you want in your life and invite the things you want, the more that the desired things enter. That isn't to say there isn't direct effort on the physical plane, but that you are bringing the spiritual plane and the physical plane more in alignment with each other, thus making your endeavors more efficient.

There are some things to try and learn. One is to control energy you give off of your body and your aura field. Put your hands close together, and you will likely feel something like heat or resistance. Over time, see if you can put your hands a long distance apart and still feel it.

Cloud busting is a common "spell" that people claim to be able to do. What you do is just focus on a cloud and imagine drawing a line through it or cutting it. It is even more effective when you can visualize natural phenomena doing the work.

One of the biggest things in all of this is faith and the power of belief. One way to cultivate belief is to focus on the aspects of what you want that are already true. If you meditate on being wealthy, you would include the ways in which you are already wealthy. For instance, there are libraries all across most nations, filled with wealth of knowledge. Even if you don't have access to that, you have the internet. Imagine having most of the knowledge of the world for one low monthly fee. Anyway, you focus on ways in which you are already wealthy to draw more wealth to you. And as you think of yourself as a wealthy person, you are more likely to behave in ways that draw wealth. You might have a keener eye for finding lost money, and you might have a keener eye for work to do.

A lot of tricks people claim to do are right on the edge of belief and can usually have other possible explanations. If you imagine something is moving and it starts to move, it is possible that there is a wind or draft, an optical illusion, wishful thinking, or even hallucination. If you try cloud busting and weather manipulation, you may always wonder if the weather was already going to do whatever, and it was by coincidence you lucked out. An example would be a kid shouting at a thunderstorm to be quiet, and suddenly it is quiet. Chances are, enough electricity has been discharged for a while to where no lightning can occur.

So "magic" is usually so subtle that most people would not be able to recognize it as magic.
