Interview:
Career Night : ( attend one if available- good way to interact and meet some of the managers that most likely will be interviewing you down the road)
Fiat Exam: 50 questions in exam, no calculator, timed, no time for prep. It entails economic questions such as CPI index, recession questions, import /export, stock splits, in addition to how to add, divide, multiply fractions, calculate decimals, and some geometry. IF YOU PASS THE FIAT, THEN YOU MOVE ON TO THE NEXT EXAM:
Personality Exam: 50 questions or so, in regards to behavioral questions, as well as your opinion about how you feel about certain things, which you have to rate them on a scale( definitely disagree, disagree, neutral, agree, definitely agree). Here is a tip..they are looking for sales people. Sales people have the personality of being black and white. If you want to pass.. stay away from answering neutral!!! Pick one end or the other of the spectrum. This way you portray that you can make decisions and are not washy washy. IF YOU PASS THE PERSONALITY EXAM, THEN YOU MOVE ON :

Round Robin Interview: going to the office , and interviewing with 6 or 7 managers, coaches, trainers back to back for 15 minutes each. Think of it like speed dating: you have 15 minutes to make an impression. The next person is waiting by the door to come in and interview right after you. After all candidates have been interviewed by all managers, they meet and pick the candidates that they want to move on... if you are outgoing, driven, pleasant to talk to, know what you want and know how to talk, you should be fine.. IF YOU PASS THIS...
You get selected to have a final interview with the Complex Director: aka big boss who makes final decision and runs the offices. 20 minutes, and need to have a business plan ready to go to prove to him/her that you got what it takes, and that you know who your target market is and how you are going to build a book and be successfull.
Merrill Lynch is the company you want to work for. They are tough, program is extremely difficult, but if you are the 1/10 that MAKES it.... you are set for life. Why settle for ordinary jobs when you can strive to be part of a winning team?
