Assuming the new pump was primed before it was installed, I would disable the ignition, the fuel injectors and the fuel pump, remove all 6 spark plugs, then with the proper amount of engine oil in the engine, crank the engine over with the starter for 10 seconds, then give the starter time to cool (a few minutes), then crank the engine over again for 10 more seconds, again letting the starter cool. Do this until the oil pressure gauge shows oil pressure. Now you have primed the pump and the engine. Reassemble and start it up.
You don't have to prime it. It sits in oil and will prime naturally as soon as the engine starts.
The engine oil pump is INSIDE the engine oil pan
The oil pump is bolted to the bottom of the engine INSIDE the oil pan
No, you do not.
You do not have to prime it. It is self priming.
IT IS ATTACHED TO THE PUMP AT THE FRONT OF THE ENGINE
You do not have to prime the pump. Just add the correct amount of oil and start the engine.
Repair or replace the oil pump, or replace the valves, if the oil pump is working properly.
