As i have found the only way is to take it to a dealership who have the Saab kit to do it. Someone said you can do it through your ignition, not so. I paid £45 to have 2 new fobs programmed to my Saab. Which i think is value for money. Pentagon Vauxhall in Middleton. Plus you get a warranty, and good service from the staff.

Saab 0-3 key fobs have to be programmed at the Saab dealership. This safety measure is in place to keep others from stealing your vehicle. The vehicle dealership will require proof of ownership before they will program the fob for you.
It depends on the year. I did my 1998 by the steps below. It is important to do all of the steps within 2-3 seconds of each other. 1) Turn the key to II. 2) Quickly, like in 2-3, sec push the key fob's lock button. 3) Turn the key OFF. 4) Turn the key back to II. 5) Push the fob lock button. 6) Turn the Key OFF. 7) Turn the Key back to II. 8) Push the fob lock button 9) Turn the Key OFF. 10) Turn the key to II. 11) Push the fob lock button 12) You will hear the door lock. The keyfob receiver is now in program mode. You must push the Key fob lock or unlock button again to program that fob. 13) Do this again, lock and unlock, for every Keyfob you have, or it will deprogram them, and you only have 8 secs each to do it. when you press each fob you will hear the doors lock and unlock. 14) Turn the key off, and pull out the key. 15) Press the buttons on all the fobs to test them.
yes. your local Mazda dealer can program them for you. if they say it cant be done; theyre lieing to get you to pay for another key fob. the systems are the same the key fob may "look" different.
If the battery has been out of the key fob for too long the fob loses its program and the car will not start. Peugeot will try to charge £48 for a reprogram but you can get around this by: - 1) Turn on the ignition 2) Hold down the close button for a few seconds 3) Turn off the ignition and remove the key 4) Start the car The above can be found on page 19 or 20 of the 407 user manual

This doesn't work if you lost all the "primary" keys - the ones that have the remote unlock functions on them. And it doesn't work if your primary key isn't working. If all you have is a valet key, you need to go back to the dealer, who uses a computer to program them.If you have a good primary key and a new fob that has the key blade cut, this is what you do:1. Put the key you want to program in the ignition and turn the car to "on." Don't try to crank the engine.2. Get out of the car and close the door. Take the working primary key and put it in the doorlock. Manually lock the car by turning the key. Remove the key from the lock.3. Push the "unlock" button on the key fob. Wait at least one second and push it again.4. Get in the car and turn the key to the "off" position. Remove the key.The key is now programmed to your car.
1 -- have ALL fobs on hand, including those which might already be programmed correctly. The programming will "erase" your old ones. 2 -- Unlock the doors. Put the key in the ignition, and turn from "Off" to "ACC" 5 times in under 10 seconds. The doors will lock. Leave key in the ACC position 3 -- Program the fobs by pressing any key on the fob. Do this for each fob. The doors locks will lock/unlock 4 -- Turn the key to Off. Locks will lock/unlock, and you are out of programming mode. 5 -- Test all remotes.
