go to the gm dealer
Yes, with any other product (by GM or other manufacturers using that key fob) using that key fob type. You could even set up multiple vehicles to use the same key fob, provided they use the same type.
your key fob can only be programed by the local gm dealer.
Either use the key fob to lock and unlock the doors or use the key to turn the ignition.
There is a gm part number on the back of the fob. Take that number, and your vin number, to your local Chevy dealer, who has an interchange book, or, your local wreckig yard, has the same. They can tell you. There is also a tester for those. I think only GM will have one of those.
It's really easy to do! Forget the dealer and search You Tube " GM key fob program". You might want to include the year and model of your car. What could be easier than watching a video to learn something new?
hopefully this is what you need . The battery on the remote can be replaced with a cell battery number cr2032 there is only one little screw on the remote you will need a precision screwdriver. Dollar tree actually carry a little set (cheap but will do) open the remote battery pushes out quite easily you can use the same screw driver to help push it out. then replace with new battery. now walk up to car and hit the unlock button atleast four times until it unlocks the door. you need to do this in order for the car to recognize that remote and key. Good luck.
go in your trunk and pull back the carpet on the passenger side quarter panel look up by the antenna area find the wire that is not connected to anything..... green I think ground out that wire and your locks should lock than unlock when that happens hit the trunk button on your new key fob than your lock button once you confirm the key fob is working your locks... your done un-ground the wire and tuck it back up where you found it
It can only be done with a GM tech2 scanner, so you either need to go to your local dealer,or find a local repair shop that has one.

All remote key fob operations are listed in the manual. Locks can be programmed to do various things upon exit and entrance. If you have lost your manual then it can be downloaded from www.trailvoy.com or the GM website.
