You can't.... there is no way to program this stat... you simply have to plug it in, cross your fingers and hope for the best! I would advise against buying any Inncom products as they will likely do the exact opposite of what you intended or not work at all.

ALSO you can thumb tack a MYLAR/FOIL balloon that the motion sensor can see that it's moving (put by a vent) and your good to go as well.
