Top off the radiator and drive the vehicle. Keep an eye on the temperature gauge. if the unit exceeds the normal operating temperature. Turn off vehicle and allow to cool. Continue to drive vehicle once cooled. The system will purge any air through circulation. Top off after sufficient usage has occurred.

I have really never heard of this method. Not so sure you can depend on it. So, if you want to purge the system then follow this. First, loosen one of the heater hoses at the firewall, just one will do, re-attach it without tighting the clamp. Start the engine and let it run up to operating temp. Open the heater to full inside the car, with the rad cap on, slowly open the heater hose slightly, coolant and air will come out, do this a few times, carefully, because it will be hot and the coolant will drop on the exhaust causing smoke. Once this is complete check the heat inside the car, at this time both heater hoses will be hot, and you should have good hot air inside. Engine still running, now top up the rad. tighten the clamp and check for leaks. Good to go now.
